About Afro-Belly Boogie®
Afro-Belly Boogie® evolved as a result of comprehensive research into how the application of dance steps and movements can make noticeable changes to the body. As part of her own fitness goals, Angel was looking for workout that would make changes in both weight loss and toning, this is her focus when developing and modifying the workout.
What is Afro-Belly Boogie®?

Afro-Belly Boogie® combines energy and powerful moves from African dance along with the toning and sultry movements of Belly Dance. In the end, its all pulled together in what calls "The Boogie". Here the workout slips into a club based dance party with hot African and Belly Dance moves thrown together in fun sweat filled dance explosion.
Afro-Belly Boogie® will exercise you from head to toe, giving you immediately measurable results. Participants have seen these results since the programs launch in the summer of 2010, experiencing loss of weight, inches and remarkable toning in their trouble spots. And with all this movement, participants feel the fabulous sexy glow from the dance.
Angel is a firm believer that everyone has a purpose and should be able to live their lives in joy and pursuit of that purpose. This includes being healthy and happy with who you are, inside and out.
Afro-Belly Boogie® Cycles
Afro-Belly Boogie® provides a program which continues to evolve to meet the needs of the fitness client and keep up with current trends in dance and music. The Cycle is the group of movements and choreography delivered in the workout by instructors. A new cycle is released in the cardio dance program every 3 months, giving the program updates and keeping things exciting. This also allows the participant the ability to continue to see improvements as they progress through the program. Ask your instructor which Cycle their delivering. At any given time, it is possible to participate in a mixture of a variety of Cycles. Dance on!

Afro-Belly Boogie® Instructors
Our instructors are taken through comprehensive training and are required to maintain a high quality of knowledge, technique and professional presentation. They are tested and must maintain requirements which include; technique study, Continued Education program participation and fitness training. Check the instructor community to make sure your instructor holds valid certification.

How often should I do Afro-Belly Boogie® to experience maximum results: To recognize maximum results in loss of all over inches and the toning of the abs, legs and bottom, the workout should be done at least 3 times week. Check the schedule to find a workout near you. |
What to wear to an Afro-Belly
Boogie® workout?
Dress as one would in any other aerobic class. Wear comfortable aerobic shoes that give you firm and flexible full foot and arch support. Comfortable workout clothes that don't fit your body too tight. Let your abdominal area loss for the abdominal toning segments (no abdominal sweat belts). For women, wear a sturdy and comfortable sports bra.

What is that belt?
This is a hip scarf or coin belt. It can be purchased where ever you find belly dance or Bollywood supplies. It is not required for the workout but many find it adds to the fun. You can also where a shawl or any other wrap. Check the shop for links to where you can purchase online.
